Book Review : Thirteen Reasons Why

A book that made me think about my own life and how I impact the life of others.

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Rating: 5 stars

Teens these days live thinking just about #YOLO. They want to live their life to the fullest and in their path they forget to look around them and see which lives their are changing.

Hannah is a young high school student that suffered a lot thanks to rumors her peers spread, and with those rumors came her death and a few little surprises.

Clay Jensen goes to the same school Hannah went and one day he received a box that contained the reason why Hannah did what she did. He must endure listening to her story, to feel her pain, but he will only understand everything completely once he reaches the end.

This novel made me analyze my behavior around other people. Sometimes we forget that others could be suffering deeply inside and with anything we say or do can cause a ripple in their life that could end up tragically.

It’s a must read. You will enjoy the thrilling development of the story and will finish the book shocked, paralyzed and feeling as if you were slapped in the face. A true eye opening novel that I will recommend always.
