Book Review : Red Queen

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Rating: 4 stars

In school, the people learned how the world was before; about the angels and gods that lived in the sky ruling the earth with kind and loving hands. Some said those were just stories but Mare Barrow doesn’t believe that. Her world is divided by blood, those with red blood and those with silver blood. Those with silver blood have supernatural abilities that make them nearly gods while those with red blood are just common folk. With a twist of fate, Mare finds herself among the royal family and when her life is at risk she displays powers of her own leaving the Silvers shocked. Mare has red blood which means her new abilities put her more at risk, not only among the silvers but with the rebellion that is brewing up. She’ll have to learn how to control her abilities, know who to trust and keep her heart from getting hurt.

Red Queen is perfect! If you liked The Hunger Games Series and The Selection Series you will devour this novel with excitement.
